4.5 years on and so much has changed

It’s been a while since the last blog update. Well, where do I start?

After our return to Sydney we returned to “normal” life. William started Kindergarten and Olivia returned to year 3 at Darlinghurst public school and life went on. The kids adapted quickly and their adventures only helped to make schooling a success for them both. They are both intelligent, worldly kids with a high respect for life, people, the environment and our differences. Both Liz and I are so proud of what they have become. Olivia starts high school tomorrow and can’t wait for more adventures in her school life.

On the family front Liz and I are no longer together and we are coparenting the kids after our separation a couple of years ago and remain friends.

With regards to Willo, she was no longer a priority and much to my remorse we sold her to a couple with travel aspirations. It was a sad day as we had shared many great memories together on Willo.

Well, life goes on and new adventures are always around the corner. It’s now just over 4 years since we returned from Fiji  and 3 years since Liz and I separated. I have been lucky enough to meet someone very special in my life who shares the same passion for sailing and life as I do.

Sarah, who came into my life a year ago shares the same dreams as I do and has become the kids best friend at the same time. I am one very lucky man.

So, the blog has been reborn and there is plenty to add to our story. Stay tuned for an update on our sailing and the joys of boat life.
